Last August, the Provo City Council approved the location of the Preferred Alternative in Provo for the Lakeview Parkway and Trail. Over the past five months, the City of Provo has been working closely with the Utah County and the City of Orem to determine the location of this regional facility as it extends north of Provo into Utah County and Orem. In late April, the Orem City Council selected an alignment for the Lakeview Parkway and Trail in Utah County and Orem.

What's Next?
Provo
The Lakeview Parkway and Trail in Provo is moving forward.
· The design for the Lakeview Parkway and Trail will be completed in July 2012.
· Provo City may begin acquisition of right-of-way for the Lakeview Parkway and Trail from Center Street south to the Provo Airport as funding allows in fall 2012.
· Currently, the Lakeview Parkway and Trail is a corridor preservation project. There is neither funding nor a schedule to purchase all of the necessary right of way andbegin construction.
Orem
· On April 24, 2012 the Orem City Council selected the Lakeview Parkway and Trail alignment for inclusion into the Orem City Transportation Master Plan.
· Currently, there is neither funding nor a schedule to advance the study and design of the Lakeview Parkway and Trail.
